MATCH REPORT: Aduana Stars qualify for Confederation Cup group stages despite defeat

The Dormaa-based club have booked themselves a place in the group stages of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup despite losing 2-1 against Fosa Juniors FC on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Madagascan side Fosa Juniors FC managed to beat Aduana Stars in the second league tie at the Majunga Stadium.
 
The home side, Fosa Junior started the match on a good note as they opened the score in the early minutes of the game from the spot.
 
Coach Yusif Abubakar's charges held on their counterparts as they also launched some fearsome attacks with the motive of snatching the equaliser before the break.
 
The first department of the game ended in a 1-0 win in favor of the homesters.
 
Back from the break, Fosa Juniors doubled the lead in the 55th minute of the game.
 
Aduana Stars pulled one back through Nathaniel Asamoah in the 68th minute of the match.
 
Goalkeeper Joseph Addo saved the second penalty-kick awarded to the home side in the 73rd minute.
 
Aduana Stars have qualified to the group stages of the competition on a 7-3 aggregate after whipping Fosa Juniors 6-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in the first league tie.
