Kwesi Nyantakyi Steps Down as CAF first Vice President

The former Ghana FA president has resigned as the veep for the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi tender his resignation to the executive council of the Africa football governing body after being caught on camera taking bribes.
Mr. Nyantakyi was captured in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas latest exposé dubbed #Number12 taking bribes and duping some investors in the name of the President of Ghana, Nana Akuffo-Addo.
Few days ago, he resigned as the capo of the Ghana Football Association as well as an executive council member of FIFA.
He is currently serving a 90-day ban from FIFA.
According to CAF, an extraordinary congress will be held on 30th September to announce his replacement on the FIFA executive council and the vacant CAF first vice president position.
Nyantakyi has been the Ghana Football Association president since 2005.
