I will not find excuse for our loss - AS Vita coach

AS Vita gaffer Jean-Florent Ikwange was skeptical to find an alibi in their 1-2 defeat to Aduana stars in the group stages of the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.

The Congolese champions had their first defeat yesterday when they visited the Ghanaian champions at Nana Agyeman Badu || park.

But Jean-Florent Ikwange, who double as Congo national team trainer, was skeptical to express that their travelling to Ghana had an impact on his players.

"It's not easy travelling from Congo to Accra, from there to Dormaa (a suburb of Brong Ahafo)," Ikwange said through a translator.

"But we'll not take any excuse from defeat. We lost to a better opponent. They deserve the three points," he added.

The result has leaved Aduana stars and AS Vita on the 2nd and 3rd position respectively with 4 points each.

AS Vita will host Aduana stars in a return encounter in Group A on Sunday, July 29, 2018.
