The Ivorian giants dominated the first department as they registered two goals before the break.

ASEC opened the floodgate six minutes before the half-hour mark from the spot after Zana Coulibaly was brought down by Farouk Adams in the 22nd minute.

Striker Zao Gbagnon Badie grabbed the opener for the Yellow and Black lads after he struck the ball firmly into the back of the net from the spot on the 24th minute of the game.

Willy Braciano doubled the lead for ASEC Mimosas with a brilliant strike on the 35th minute of the game.

Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi and his charges squandered the set-pieces awarded to them in the first half as it ended 2-0 win in favor of the visitors.

Back from the break, the visitors continued frustrating the Fire boys with their descent and brilliant passes.

Midfielder Elvis Opoku nearly pulled one back for Aduana Stars but his 54th minute header went wide.

Also, Sam Adams tried his luck with long range shots in the mid of the second department.

Aduana Stars failed to score as the match ended in a 2-0 victory in favor of the Ivorian side.
