Atta Kusi tips Kotoko to reach Confederation Cup group stages

Former Asante Kotoko left back, Atta Kusi has reckoned that the Porcupines will reach the group stages of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian giants are anticipating to welcome their opponent in the qualifying stages of the 2018/19 CAF Confederations cup.

The 2016/17 FA cup holders were allowed to participate in the CAF competition after their petition was granted by the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association following last season's revocation.

And the 26-year-old defender has tipped the Porcupines to progress to the group stages of the competition.

"If the management and the players have decided to go to Africa, it means they're fully prepared," Atta Kusi told Kickgh.com.

"I think Kotoko can progress to the group stages of the competition. They've enough time to build the team. Kotoko will definitely qualify to the next stage," he reckoned.

On Kotoko's 11 new players, Atta Kusi added that "The coach (C.K Akonnor) knows the flaws in his squad, that is why he requested for those players. But I think it's not advisable to make a lot of changes in his squad. He'll definitely blend them with the old players."
