CK Akonnor satisfied with Kariobangi Sharks draw

Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has said that he is satisfied with his charges performance and result from their CAF Confederation Cup match with Kariobangi Sharks.

Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks were held to a scoreless draw by Asante Kotoko in the first league tie of the knockout stage on Saturday at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani.

The Ghana Premier League giants will host the Yellow and Green lads in the second league encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on December 22.

“We are satisfied with the result because we didn’t lose,” Coach CK Akonnor said after the match.

"We could have won because we had chances to score. We came here to get a good result, meaning we can be satisfied with a draw or win.”

“I don’t want to be too selfish. This was an away match. We have to go back home, do a bit of homework and find a method to win the second leg.”

“We are not going to relax” he stressed.

“The target is to qualify for the next stage and we are going to work hard to achieve that.”
