MATCH REPORT: Black Queens beat Ivory Coast to win 2018 WAFU Women's Cup

The Black Queens of Ghana have lifted the maiden edition of the WAFU Women's Cup following their victory over the host nation in the grand finale.
Ghana clinched the 2018 WAFU Women's Cup after pipping Ivory Coast in the finals on Saturday evening.
Coach Mercy Tagoe and her charges managed to beat Ivory Coast 1-0 at the Robert Champaux Stadium in Abidjan.
The female senior team of Ghana started the game on good note as they ended the first department of the game in a 1-0 lead.
Janet Egyir powered the Queens to victory with his stunning strike in the second minute of the game.
The Ivorians that whipped the Ghana's senior women team 1-0 in a group opener failed to utilize their chances created in both halves of the match.
Ghana held on the hosts with fearsome attacks and brilliant passes whiles Coleman and Faustina Ampah protected the Queens back line.
Earlier, the Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a 2-1 victory over Mali to finish third in the tournament.
