MATCH REPORT: Asante Kotoko 1-0 Inter Allies - Kotoko escaped a hard fought victory

Asante Kotoko SC triumphed over a determined Inter Allies by 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium through Obed Owusu's lone goal in the second half. 
 
Asante Kotoko SC maintained similar line-up against WAFA with the exception of Kwame Boahene who took a knock before the game in place for Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and where not as sharper as expected up front with both sides hardly making any meaningful incursion in the first half.
 
Obed Owusu and Victorien Adje Adebayor had the best chances of the half at both ends where Obed Owusu failed to latched unto a through ball by Frank Sarfo Gyamfi from the flanks, similarly, Adebayor Victorien's well taken shot was blocked by Felix Annan just before break to keep the game barren into the changing room.
 
Asante Kotoko SC produced one of their finest second half encounter this afternoon when they got the early goal on the 53rd minutes through Obed Owusu who's call for a goal got answered with a beautiful connected header assisted by Emmanuel Gyamfi.
 
Inter Allies then took over proceedings and they created three decent chances that could have easily been converted than missed, all coming from Nsungusi Jnr Effiong  who came in the second to change Samuel Armah.
 
A game that easily could have gone the Inter Allies side was well managed and controlled by Asante Kotoko SC to get all three points in their first home game in the 2017/18 season.
