REVEALED: Why Kotoko refused to meet the press after their painful loss to Medeama

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Communication Director Obed Acheampong has revealed why they refused to attend post-match conference.

The Spokesperson for the Club claimed that a member of their technical team was assaulted at the dressing room.

According to Obed, a memeber of the Porcupines medical team was 'attacked' at the dressing room whiles they were preparing to meet the press after their painful 1-0 defeat to Medeama SC at T&A park in the matchday three of the Ghana premier league.

But he failed to mention whether the attacker was a Medeama fan or the the vice-versa who channelled his grievances to the Kotoko team after the painful lost at Tarkwa.

"A member of our medical team (name withheld) was attacked at the dressing room when we were preparing to meet the press".

"The attacker spit at him from the window. It led to a heated argument for about twenty minutes in the dressing room. So we decide not to attend the post-match press conference because of what happened," he told Sikka FM.

Obed Acheampong also disclosed that Asante Kotoko will make an official complaint to the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana football Association.

Kotoko recorded their first loss in the 2017/18 premier league after their former striker Kwame Boateng's late penalty kick.
