TEAM OF THE WEEK- Ghana Premier League Match Day Five

The Ghana Premier League took center stage at various league centers for Match Day Five which saw eleven goals from seven league centers. bring to you the Team Of The Week for Match Day Five cutting across eight clubs in the league.
Richard Osei Agyemang of Ashanti Gold SC returned to the team after missing out in Match Day Four. Samed Ibrahim, Isaac Hagan, Daniel Agyin, Michael Ampadu, and others making their debut in the Team Of The Week.
In a 3-4-3 formation, masterminded by C.K. Akunnor of Ashanti Gold SC, we present to you the Team Of The Week after Match Day Five.
Isaac Hagan (Karela FC)- He is much credited for Karela FC's away draw against Dreams FC in their Match Day Five fixture of the Ghana Premier League. He denied strikes from Eric Gawu, Emmanuel Hayford and Zuberu Sharani to keep the game barren after ninety-minutes.
Richard Osei Agyemang (Ashanti Gold SC) CD- He continued his five-star performance in the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League against his former club, Asante Kotoko SC. Richard Agyemang organized his back line well to avoid his outfit from conceding during the game. He made several brilliant clearances to keep his goalkeeper George Owu on a holiday and won the Man Of The Match award even after not scoring in their victory against Asante Kotoko SC.
David Egyin (Bechem United) RCD- The experienced centre-back played a vital role in defense to help Bechem United to snatch vital point against Ebusua Dwarfs in Match Day Five. He got the equaliser for The Hunters after neatly converting a spot-kick awarded to them. His work in the Bechem United back line prevented the attackers of Ebusua Dwarfs from restoring their lead in the game.
Samed Ibrahim (Ashanti Gold SC) LCD- He's waited for long in to make it into the Team Of the Week even after a brilliant start to the season because there were other players who equally performed better. He was outstanding on Sunday to get the opener for Ashanti Gold against Asante Kotoko SC which set the tone for sides victory. His partnership with Richard Osei Agyemang has, thus far, been stupendous.
Michael Ampadu (Liberty Professionals) RWB- He was one of the top performers in the Liberty Professionals- Techiman Eleven Wonders clash. His runs on the flanks were very delightful and also piled pressure on the home side defense with his crosses. Ampadu was all-rounded during the match. The 20-year-old played an integral role in his side first victory of the season.
Edmund Arko Mensah  (Berekum Chelsea) LWB- The Ghana U17 left-back was a delight to watch as his side thrashed Hearts of Oak 3-0 in Berekum. The 16-year-old defender managed to hold The Phobians forwards on the flanks. His brilliant output during the match earned him applauses from the fans.
Umar Bashiru (WAFA) CMD- The 20-year-old midfielder managed to hold and neutralize the midfield of Inter Allies with his partnership in the middle with Prosper Ahiabor and he did that exceptionally well. His side lost but his impressive performance during the game could not be underrated and has established himself in the Team Of The Week. He also swung in brilliant passes to their duo upfront - Richard Danso and Augustine Boakye- but they failed to find the back of the net. His impressive performance earned him the NASCO Man of the match award.
David Abagna Sandan (Wa All Stars) CM- The promising midfielder returned into the folds of Wa All Stars after missing out in their first four games of the season through injury. He was special for The Northern Blues when he opened the scoring for his side against Elmina Sharks at Obuasi and remain key in ensuring Elmina Sharks did not pose so much threat to his side from the midfield.
Stephen Amankona  (Berekum Chelsea) LWF- 
He was the chief tormentor for the Blues in their demolition exercise in the Week Five of the Ghana Premier League against Hearts of Oak. The Hearts of Oak back line found it as a difficult to handle the 18-year-old attacker during the match. He called goalkeeper Benjamin Mensah to duty on numerous occasions but got only one of his strikes on target.
Victorien Adebayor  (Inter Allies) RWF- The Niger international continued his sterling performance in the Ghana Premier League with another goal. His only strike handed his side all needed three points at the Tema Park. After several attempts in the first half, he managed to power his side to victory over the Academy Boys with his brilliant well calculated  free kick on the 43rd minute.
Donald Wellington  (Karela FC) CF- The Sierra Leone striker kept the Dreams FC defense unrest during in the duration of the game. He could have at least net a goal to hand his side their first away victory but he was denied by goalkeeper Isaac Amoako. He was adjudged the man of the match following his splendid performance.
