'We don't fear Hearts of Oak' - Karela United coach Johnson Smith

Newly promoted club Karela United coach Johnson Smith is highly poised of victory over Hearts of Oak, claiming they will not be intimidated by their history.

Karela United managed just a point in their first three matches, since then they have not looked back - they have won three and drawn one in the last four matches.

The debutants  have won their last two premier league games against former league Champions - they beat Wa All Stars at Wa and pipped Berekum Chelsea in Kumasi.

The Anyinase-based Club will lockhorns with the Rainbow boys, who have also won the Ghana premier league on several occasions, at Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park, Anyinase, on Wednesday.

However, Coach Johnson Smith who guided Karela United into the top flight believes his charges can deal with the visitors threats without flinching.

"We respect Hearts of Oak as one of the big clubs in the premier league. But we don't fear them," he told Sikka FM.

"My players are equally good as Hearts' players. We can march them boot for boot when history is put aside," Johnson Smith added.

Karela United are now on the fourth position on the league log with eleven points.
