Bayern Munich's Kwasi Okyere reveals why he chose Ghana over Germany

The young deadly goal poacher has finally reveal the reasons behind his decision to play for the West African country.
 
German-born of Ghanaian descent Kwasi Okyere Wriedt says he held an extensive talks with his parents before choosing Ghana over Germany.
 
The 23-year-old who is making headlines in Europe with his goal scoring ability was being courted by the German football governing body before opting to play for Ghana.
 
He joined the Bundesliga  giants on a long-term contract from lower-tier side VfL Osnabrück prior to the start of the 2017/18 season.
 
"I made consultations with my parents and I think I am more inclined to Ghana than Germany." Okyere told Ghanaian journalist Saddick Adams in an interview.
 
"I was born here and I have stayed here all my life but I see myself as a Kumasi boy.
 
"I am a Mampong blood, so I choose Ghana. It will be a dream come true. I have always wanted to be in Ghana jersey".
 
Kickgh.com understands that the 23-year-old will be handed a call-up to feature for the Black Stars of Ghana during their friendly matches with Japan and Iceland.
 
Okyere has netted 21 goals for the Bayern Munich II in his twenty-seven appearances this season so far.
