Our campaign in Africa is very important for Ghana- Yahaya Commey

The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Yahaya Commey has explained reasons why every football followers in the local game should massively support his side in Africa.

The former Management Member of Medeama SC says he was supporting Asante Kotoko SC to have made it far during their CAF Confederation Cup campaign to them to amass more points for Ghana in the quest to retain the country's lost spot.

He added that now that it is left with Aduana Stars in Africa as the the country's sole representative, they should be supported to get the needed points for the country.

"To every situation you need to start somewhere. If it is for points build up, then it means that all the participating teams in africa, we will need to help them to go. If you remember, I had been saying that both Kotoko and us will need to have progressed in Africa and that was the spirit behind it. If it is left with Aduana alone in Africa, we should not leave them alone," he explained in an interview with Kessben FM.

"Let us assume that Aduana Stars gets to the ultimate, that five points, will it not do something next year in terms of points build up? If so, then it is very very important for us to make sure that, now that it is left with only Aduana Stars, we rally behind them so that next year, all the participating teams will help in getting more points," he added.

Albert Commey feels the club have been neglected in their African Club campaign since the exit of Asante Kotoko SC some few months ago.

But as it is now, it looks like you are left alone to fight for your destinty in Africa and whether you do well or not, it is nobody's business. I think it is bad. Our campaign is very relevant that we have to go far to amass the points for country." He concluded

Aduana Stars suffered their first defeat in the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup against Asec Mimosa in Cote D'Ivoire last Sunday.
