Asante Kotoko reject Sarfo Gyamfi linked with a shock move to Hearts

According to reports gathered by our outfit, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi who was recently released by Kumasi Asante Kotoko is close to joining their rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.
The winger arrived at Kotoko from an unsuccessful spell with South African side, Maritzburg United with a stellar reputation for finding the back of the net.
He’s hard working, pacey, physical and with a good sense of positioning and blessed with an ability to shoot with either foot.
After some splendid performances for Wa All Stars, a lot of clubs queued to have his signature. Yet Kotoko would be the ones to secure his signature upon his return from South Africa after having been in the market for a player of exactly his type.
The Porcupine Warriors were seeking a player who could score goals while operating from the wings and also feed their attackers with delightful crosses. Sarfo Gyamfi looked to be the perfect acquisition for their requirements, but it has not turned out to be that way.
It could be well that Sarfo Gyamfi was a victim of circumstance at Kotoko, as the club has a far from stable platform for him to grow from.
As sometimes can happen with transfers, it seems to have simply been a case of being in the wrong place at the right time for him.
Perhaps a fresh start with the Phobians will be the right thing for this young player whose natural talent is not in doubt.
