Jarvis Peprah breaks SILENCE, 'School' Kotoko Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei on Football Management

Former management member of Asante Kotoko, Jarvis Peprah has told the club's Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei to reconcile with the supporters leadership, desist from panic recruitment, and purchase expatriate players for the club.
Jarvis believes the Porcupines will be in the limelight if Kwame Kyei buys expatriate players to augment the squad.
He added that Kotoko are in management crises looking at the club's problem last season.
"I don't think any Kotoko supporter who knows the history will pronounce the club is in good position. Kotoko is on life-support," Jarvis told Oyerepa FM.
"The fear factor at the club's home venue (Baba Yara Sports Stadium) is not there any longer. Kotoko has now become fearless playing against any other club," he added.
"Kotoko has a managerial problem. When Dr. Kyei became the club's Chairman, I supported him and advocated to the supporters to give him (Dr. Kwame Kyei) time.
"Last season, we all knew Kotoko were lacking goal poachers and midfield problem but I remember very well that prior to the 2017 WAFU Tournament, I spoke to a management member about it. I told him about the problem which I thought they would scout players for the club during the tournament".
Jarvis Pepprah adviced Dr. Kwame Kyei to have a "massive recruitment in his second season which will help fly the club high."
"I believe that the club will flourish if they buy players from Niger, Benin to augment the squad," he added.
Dr. Kwame Kyei has worked with five coaches since his appointment as Kotoko's Chairman just last season.
Michael Owusu, Godwin Ablordey, Frimpong Manso, Zdravko Logarusic and Steven Polack have been sacked.
The vociferous supporters of Kotoko has chanted for the head of their coach Paa Kwesi Fabien who took over from Polack.
Nonetheless, the former Chairman of Kotoko, Jarvis Pepprah thinks contrary.
"I don't blame Paa Kwesi for Kotoko's problem because every coach will suffer with this current players."
Kickgh.com confirmed few days ago that Kotoko has offloaded seven players including Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, Seth Opare and deputy captain Eric Donkor.
Also Saddick Adams, Yakubu Mohammed and Edwin Tuffour Frimpong have been told that their services are no more needed.
Jarvis has subscribed to the Club's decision to outcast non-performed players but thinks Tuffour Frimpong should have stayed.
"Kotoko should have sacked Yakubu Mohammed long ago. Saddick Adams was not been a consistent goal scorer for the club. Thus I agree with management for that decision."
"It is better to sack non-perform players when their monthly salary is huge."
"But I think Edwin Tuffour should have not been sacked looking at his age."
He added "Kotoko should groom players who will be ready for next season. We should recruit young players who can play very well in the next two seasons."
"The supporters shouldn't expect trophies this season. They should support the players and encourage the management."
The club's supporters leadership has not been affable to Dr. Kwame Kyei after he rejected a sponsorship deal between them and an alcoholic beverage company.
But Jarvis Peprah has warned Kwame Kyei to harmonise with his supporters helm.
"Dr. Kyei should always meet the supporters leadership and explain things to them at their meetings."
"But he shouldn't panic when taking decision for the club regardless of the supporters utterances. He should not make panic buying," he added.
"But if the performance still remains poor I will blame the management members."
Kotoko are lying 8th on the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League table with 17 points after Week 12.
The Porcupines will welcome Elmina Sharks to the Kumasi Baba yara sports stadium when the league resume on May 23, 2018.
