WAFA appoint Patrick Liewig as new head coach

Former ASEC Mimosas and Simba SC head coach Patrick Liewig has been signed as the new gaffer for West African Football Academy.
 
The 67-year-old trainer inked a contract which keeps him at the RedBull Arena till the end of the season.
 
The club official statement reads "WAFA SC have appointed Patrick Liewig as head coach of the First Team." 
 
"The former ASEC Mimosas coach has signed a contract till the end of the season."
 
He has been appointed as replacement for Danish coach Klavs Rasmussen who resigned from his post months ago.
 
Coach Liewig has vast experience in the African Football where he reached the semis of the CAF Champions League and winning the Ivorian top-flight league three consecutive times (2005,2005 and 2006) with ASEC Mimosas
 
WAFA SC currently lies fourth position on the Ghana Premier League table with 18 points.
