Former Hearts Skipper Could Be A Prime Target For Asante Kotoko

According to reports gathered by our outfit, Thomas Abbey who was recently released by Egyptian side Ismaily SC is being considered by Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The versatile Abbey arrived at Ismaily from a successful season with Ghanaian giants, Accra Hearts of Oak.

He scored 13 times in 27 appearances for the Phobians and was also very instrumental in Maxwell Konadu’s WAFU Championship triumph where he excelled as a left back/ left wing back.

After some splendid performances for Hearts of Oak and the Black Stars B team, a lot of clubs queued to have his signature.

Ismaily SC from Egypt ended up securing his signature as a free agent upon the expire of his contract with the Phobians but Thomas lasted only four games for Ismaily with an assist.

The Porcupine Warriors are seeking for a player who can score goals while operating from the wings and also feed their attackers and the 25-year-old looks to be the perfect player for their requirement hence their consideration.

Should the transfer happens, Asante Kotoko will serve as a platform for Thomas Abbey to rekindle his career as he is abound with undoubted football talent.
