Talented Evans Mensah thrilled with his third title at HJK

The diminutive winger is much delighted to clinch three title after two seasons in Finland.

Ghana youth forward Evans Menasah has expressed his happiness after winning the 2018 Finnish top-flight league with HJK last weekend.

The 19-year-old who joined the Blue and White lads two seasons ago has clinched the Finnish Veikkausliiga twice with a Finnish Cup.

HJK lifted their twelfth league title after recording a 4-0 away victory over TPS Turku in their week 33 clash on Saturday.

"Winning trophies makes every footballer excited. I am happy to be one of the players blessed with titles," Mensah told Kickgh.com in an exclusive interview.

"It wasn't easy during my debut season here [in Finland] because their style of play differs from how Ghanaians play.

"It was very difficult in Finland but I give thanks to God, my coaches and teammates especially Anthony Annan"

"I don't feel bad with the injury, I picked up in the mid of the season because it's part of life but I was happy to make injury return to play some games before the season ended."

The former Inter Allies talisman showered praises on his compatriot at HJK, Anthony Annan who played for the senior national team of Ghana since 2007.

"He [Anthony Annan] is like my father, he has impacted a lot into my life since arriving in Finland two years ago," He lauded Annan.

He scored five goals goals in his 26 appearances for HJK this season.

Mensah was handed a debut call-up to the senior national team of Ghana in 2016 where he made his debut against Mozambique in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
