Ibrahim Danlad not surprised to make Kotoko squad for Africa

The 15-year-old shot-stopper believes his sterling performance earned him a place in coach CK Akonnor's 26-man squad to feature in the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Former Ghana U17 goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad says he was not surprised with his inclusion in Asante Kotoko's final squad to play in the 2019 Confederation Cup.

The talented goalie will be battling with Felix Annan and Muntari Tagoe - who joined the club on the transfer deadline day - for the club's number one spot.

"With my performances at the training grounds and during our friendlies matches, I wasn't surprise to see my name in the final list," Danlad told Kickgh.com

"I will strive to do my best for the club whenever am given the nod to keep the post for Kotoko."

"As a footballer, you shouldn't be afraid of competition, so am ready to battle for a place in the team."

Danlad is now a member of the Ghana U20 team.
