MATCH REPORT: Medeama SC 1-0 Karela FC- The "mini" Western derby ended in favour of the Yellow and Mauves

Medeama SC dealt with greenhorns, Karela FC in their week one of the 2017/18 league season by beating them by 1-0 at the Tarkwa T&A Park.

Karela FC were not pushovers as they proved their mettle but were not enough to get them the desired result in the game.

Former Asante Kotoko marksman, Kwame Boateng got the first and only goal of the game for Medeama SC in the first half to give them a refined energy to get more before the final whistle but Karela FC remained resolute throughout the entire half to send Medeama 1-0 at half time.

Karela FC kept strong in giving out a befitting performance to get a point against an experienced Medeama SC but the second half ended barren with Medeama winning all three points at hands.

Medeama SC starts off the season on a slow mark but on a good note as they have gotten the first three vital points in a marathon season.
