MATCH REPORT: Medeama 1-0 Inter Allies - Medeama close gap on league leaders

Medeama SC have maintained their second position on the Ghana Premier League table following their victory over Inter Allies on Saturday evening.
 
The Yellow and Mauves lads managed to pip Inter Allies 1-0 in their week seven of the Ghana Premier League encounter at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
 
Coach Samuel Boadu's charges dominated the first department of the match as they managed to score the only goal in the early minutes.
 
Skipper Joseph Tetteh Zutah grabbed the only goal for the Tarkwa-based club with a powerful header in the 16th minute of the game.
 
Inter Allies failed to restore parity before the break despite the set-pieces awarded to them as it ended in 1-0 win in favor of Medeama.
 
After recess, Inter Allies tried to torment the back line of the Yellow and Mauves lads with Richmond Lamptey and Samuel Bekoe.
 
But with Ibrahim Yaro and his colleagues held Dan Amanfo and Victorien Adebayor to prevent them from scoring.
 
Dan Amanfo couldn't hit the back of the net from Mohammed Zakaria's cross in the mid of the second department.
 
Kwesi Donsu tried a powerful shot but it was fisted by goalkeeper Kwame Baah in the 72nd minute of the game.
 
Medeama currently lies second position with 13 points as Inter Allies sit sixth position with 8 points.
