Upper East RFA Chairman Zida Secure Sponsorship Package for Division Two Teams

The Chairman of the Upper East Regional Football Association, Salifu Zida(Sallyman), has secure a sponsorship deal with Zidcool Sachet drinking water to support football development in the region. 
The sponsorship package will cater for the officiating fees of the second division clubs for the next two seasons with the option for a further one year extension.
Speaking to GBC URA RADIO Sports after sealing the deal on Friday, Mr Zida said he is happy and grateful to management of Zidcool drinking water for coming on board to support his quest to develop football in the region.
He indicated that each club was to pay Ghc1300 this season as officiating fees but that have been absorbed with the sponsorship deal and now clubs can have some relief from having to look for money to pay officiating fees.
Mr Zida, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Black Queens management committee, further added that he is working on securing similar deals for the third division and women clubs as well.
Zidcool Sachet drinking water is produced and package in the Talensi district of the Upper East Region by Zidcom Center and started full operation this year.
Chief Executive Officer of Soccer Masters,Ayidah Ayine Nicholas ( Coach Nico), a second division team based at Bolga-Soe expressed his delight upon hearing the news and thanks the RFA Chairman for bringing relief to club owners in the region.
He added that last year some clubs lost points to protest cases because they didn’t pay officiating fees and as a club owner he is happy they will not have that occurring this season with this sponsorship package.
The Upper East Regional division two league kicks off on the 31st of March 2018 with 24 teams zoned in to zones of six each with the winners from each group qualifying for the middle league, which will then determine the team that will qualify for the second tier of Ghana football.
Zone One:  Garu United, Garu Reformed Stars, Toende United, Tanga Unity Stars, Bawku AC Milan and Yelwoko Fire Strikers.
ZONE TWO: Builsa United, Saboro FC, Feo Mighty Arrows, Waiga United, Paga FC and Nyariga Fire Babies
ZONE THREE: Black Arrows, Zauruogo FC, Kongo United, Bolga FC, Tili Golden Stars and Real Bolga United
ZONE FOUR: Bolga Soccer Masters, Walewale Catholic Stars, Gbmisi Stars, Bolga Soccer Stars, Yorogo Young Stars and Gambigo Ashford FC.
