Robin Quainson on target for Mainz 05 In DFB Pokal

Swedish-born of Ghanaian descent Robin Kwamina Quainson scored as FC Augsburg eliminated FSV Mainz 05 from the DFB Pokal Cup on Tuesday evening.
 
FC Augsburg progressed to the next round of the competition following their 3-2 home victory over Mainz 05 at the WWK Arena.
 
The visitors, Mainz 05 opened the score on the 19th minute through Philipp Mwene before an own goal from Stefan Bell helped Augsburg to restore the parity of the match.
 
The 25-year-old restored the lead for the Red and White lads with a brilliant finish on the strike of half time.
 
Back from the break, goals from Michael Gregoritsch and Caiuby helped Augsburg to knock out FSV Mainz 05 from the 2018/19 DFB Pokal Cup.
 
He was replaced by Pierre Kunde after 79 minutes whiles Abass Issah failed to make the Mainz 05 squad for the match day with Kevin Danso featuring for Augsburg.
 
Quainson has scored two goals with two assists in his 12 appearances for FSV Mainz 05 this season.
