GOOD NEWS for Ghana: FC Utrecht finally release Issah Abass for U23 AFCON

The Black Meteors of Ghana have been handed a major boost after FC Utrecht declined Dutch FA request to release the young forward for the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht have finally release Issah Abass to the Ghana U23 team for the upcoming Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
 
Earlier last week, the Royal Dutch Football Association wrote to FC Utrecht not to release the 20-year-old to the West African country for the tournament.
 
He has been reportedly approached by the Dutch FA severally to switch his nationality to play for the Orange lads.
 
Kickgh.com can exclusively report that Abass will be leaving Holland today for Egypt.
 
He has previously represented Ghana at the U17 and U20 level.
 
 
The Ghana U23 team are expected to depart for the U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt this morning.
 
He currently on a season-long deal at FC Utrecht from German Bundesliga club Mainz 05.
 
Abass has scored two goals with an assist in his 11 appearances for FC Utrecht in his debut season.
