U23 AFCON: Black Meteors to leave for Egypt on Monday

The Black Meteors of Ghana will jet off to the North African country for the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations next month.

Ghana U23 team will depart to Egypt on Monday ahead of this year's edition of the CAF U23 Cup of Nations.
 
Coach Ibrahim Tanko has announced a 21-man squad list for the country's first appearance at the tournament after missing out at the previous editions.
 
The team have been preparing for the tourney in Accra since last month.
 
The 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations will be held in Egypt from November 8-22.
 
Ghana open their campaign against Cameroon on the opening day before facing Egypt and Mali on 11 and 14 November respectively.
 
Coach Tanko's side are hoping to finish among the best three teams to earn themselves a ticket to the 2020 Olympic Games.
 
Ghana will be missing their key players such as Osman Bukari, Dauda Mohammed, Bernard Tekpetey, Joseph Paintsil, Isaac Twum, Dauda Mohammed, Gideon Mensah, Majeed Ashimeru and others who played vital roles in their qualification to the tournament for the first time.
