PREVIEW: Elmina Sharks vs WAFA- Sharks in search of first win against "stubborn" academy boys

Elmina Sharks will be trekking to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this evening to face West African Football Academy, WAFA, in their second home game of the season to search for their first win of the season.

It is another neutral grounds for the home side to play a visiting side as part of the reforms done by the GFA and StarTimes in the 2017/18 season of the Ghana Football Association.

Elmina Sharks have had a trembled started to the season having picked only one point in two games played which goes i aberrant to how smooth a pre-season they had and will be throwing in all their arsenals to armed their opponents for all three points.

Their previous results has mounted pressure on the technical team of the Edina-based side to bing out nothing but a win against WAFA who are yet to lose after three games in the season having accounted for Liberty Professionals by 3-1 in their first away game for the season.

Elmina Sharks have not been convincing as a side in this early stage of the season and will crave to have their first win of the season to set off their quest to achieving their top four finish target.

New import, Richard Mpong and Tanko Mohammed have been, thus far, a good inclusion to the team but are yet to settle in well and coach Yaw Acheampong will depend on them to get their first win of the season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

West African Football Academy (WAFA) will be relishing to continue their fine form this evening against Elmina Sharks with their young side who have proven their qualities in the season so far.

Aminu Mohammed has been an influential player for the side having scored three goals in three game and he will be looking forward to making the difference for WAFA again against Elmina Sharks.

WAFA still keep chase to league leaders, Ashanti Gold SC with seven points after three games and a win this evening will push them to ten which the results of the Ashanti Gold's game will determine them leading the league table after week four or not.

Elmina Sharks and WAFA game will come off at 6 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
