PREVIEW: Karela FC vs Hearts of Oak - Is Hearts ready for Karela test?

The 1-2 loss to Elmina Sharks was by far the most exhilarating tie of the Match Day 7 games.

The Phobians had won convincingly against Wa All Stars and were thus seeking to make it two wins in two games but that wasn't to be as the stubborn Sharks swallowed the Accra giants.

Coming up against Karela FC who are enjoying a good run of form after their impressive away win in Wa over the weekend, the Phobians must keep Karela at bay to ensure they leave Anyinase unscathed.

The Phobians have had a topsy-turvy start in their league campaign this term as they've accumulated 10 points in Seven games.

Fortunately for them Wilful Cobbina is available to start for them after weeks of absence due to injury. However, gaffer Henry Wellington won't be available due to ill-health. His place will be taken by his assistant Edward Nii Odoom.

It is their debut season in Ghana's top-flight but you dare underrate them at your own peril.

Coach Johnson Smith has built a formidable side that has grown in leap and bounds- they fear no opponent- their win against Wa All Stars is a corroboration to this assertion and it isn't a surprise to find them among the top 4 on the log.

They made their intentions clear in the G8. With the likes of Donald Wellington, Ismail Abdul Ganiu, Sadiq Alhassan et al, this young side is capable of doing the unthinkable but can they record their third successive victory and at the expense of the Phobians, who, are so heavily criticised for their off-field standing as Hearts would ideally like to quieten the naysayers with a victory provided by, at times, superb, entertaining football.

With their motto "Never Say Die," one can't entirely rule them out of this tie.
