Asante Kotoko vs Zesco United: Preview, Line ups & TV Channels to watch the game

Asante Kotoko host Zesco United for the second group stage games in the CAF Confederations Cup at on Wednesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

After losing narrowly to Al Hilal some ten days ago in Omdurman Sudan, Asante Kotoko will be having all to play for in the group in search of their first win of the group.

C. K. Akonnor and his lads will be down to nothing in the group and will be highly leaving themselves the way to exit the group should they get anything rather than a win.

In as much as Asante Kotoko have already exceeded their feet in this season African Club campaign by reaching the group stages, the club will want to go farther to reach the next hurdle in the competition by getting to the quarter finals of the Confederations Cup.

In achieving that to appease their teeming supporters over years of disappointment, they will have to maintain their resounding home record in the CAF Confederations Cup by beating Zesco United to open up the group and slit out all chances to make it out of the group.

In 14 competitive games in the Confederations Cup in Kumasi, Asante Kotoko have won 12 and drawn 2 without a lost. How can they add Zesco United to this?

The ambiance around the Asante Kotoko team has been an encouraging one after returning from Sudan and with an entire squad available for C. K. Akonnor to select from, Asante Kotoko should be in bumptious to whip out all what is at stake.

However, Zesco United have attested to the fact that they will be the most difficult opponent to any of the teams in this group after they thumped Nkana FC in the first game of the group with a comfortable 2-0 victory.

Just as their home opponents are rest assured of victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Zesco United are charged for this game as if they're the home side having felt home since arriving earlier this week.

After 15 minutes of Zesco United's last training for the game on Tuesday, the Zambians look well built and ready for the all important game.

Their rise and rise in confidence for this game could probably be drawn from their excellent record on West African soil having won three and drawn two in their five games and believes they can squash out the threats of Asante Kotoko in their own backyard and salvage a good results in the game.

Surely none of the sides can underrate or underestimate the other in this clash as any result will give a massive dynamism to the group and might defining the destiny of any of the teams, thereby expecting both teams to sell out a very good game to tick a CAF Confederations Cup group stage game.
