AFCON 2019: Ghana sweat over Dede Ayew injury ahead of Cameroon clash

The Black Stars forward could be in doubt for their second Group F match against Cameroon.

Ghana are sweating over the fitness of their captain Andre Dede Ayew for their epic clash with Cameroon on Saturday.
 
The 29-year-old sustained an injury in Ghana's first group game against Benin on Tuesday, forcing him to be substituted off the pitch in the second half.
 
A statement released by the Ghana FA stated that "the medical team are monitoring Dede’s condition and will advise the technical team regarding his availability depending on how he responds to treatment."
 
He was on target for the senior national team of Ghana in their 2-2 stalemate with Benin in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations opener.
 
The Black Stars are preparing in earnest ahead of their second Group F game against Cameroon on Saturday.
