Winning the WAFU Cup again won't be easy - Maxwell Konadu admits

The head coach of the home based senior national team of Ghana has admitted that defendng their WAFU Cup title will be difficult.

Coach Maxwell Konadu is highly optimistic of winning the tournament for the second time but he feels it won't be an easy task for his side.
Ghana managed to beat Burkina Faso 5-4 on penalty shootouts after the regulations time ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
A 38th minute header from Shafiu Mumini helped the Black Stars 'B' to cancel out an early goal scored by Ilias Tiendrebeogo.
“We knew everything was possible, we didn’t get demoralized. We knew we could win the game. So we took it in good faith and gather ourselves together and won together," Coach Konadu said after the game.
“It will be difficult, even when we won the title two years ago. It’s not different from this one. This one is more difficult.
"Football in Africa is growing year after year. Our first match we won 1-0, second match 1-1. It tells you how difficult it is”
Ghana will now face the winner of the match between Ivory Coast and Togo in the semifinals of the Cup competition on Oct. 9.
