Eric Addo starts internship coaching course with Dutch giants PSV Featured

The former Ghana international defender has begun his internship coaching course with his former Dutch club and will be spending time at their youth ranks this term

Dutch Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven have announced that former Black Stars defender Eric Addo has started his internship coaching course with them following his release by city rivals FC Eindhoven after appointing him as their U21 assistant gaffer in July this year.

According to the Eindhoven-based club, the 41-year-old retired stopper will be spending time with the U13, U14, U15 and U16 sides as he looks forward to honning his coaching skills ahead of his imminent dugout role.

It is understood that the former Roda JC defender will be maintained by PSV after the end of his internship programme for the football season this term.

A statement from PSV Eindhoven over the confirmation of Eric Addo internship coaching course reads: " Former PSV player Eric Addo will be doing an internship in PSV's youth academy this season. The former defender from Ghana is attached to PSV O13, O14, O15 and O16 as an internship specialist trainer at the PSV Academy."

Addo was an integral member of the Black Stars squad that qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup staged in Germany for the first time having reached the Round of 16 stage in the tournament finals.

He has capped 45 times for Ghana at the international stage.
