MATCH REPORT: Ghana 0-1 Mali - Mali ends Black Satellites' World Cup dream

The Malian U20 team booked themselves a ticket to the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup after beating Ghana to make semis of this year's AFCON U20 championship.

Ghana have been eliminated from the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations following their 1-0 loss to their West African counterparts.

A lone strike from former U17 star Hadji Drame ensured Mali a place in the semifinals of the Africa Youth Championship in Niger.

Both sides could be found guilty for squandering the chances created and set-pieces awarded to them in the first department of the match.

The first half ended in scoreless draw despite the Malians dominating the game.

Back from the break, Coach Mamoutou Kane's charges mounted pressure on the Black Satellites which earned them the match-winner.

On the 53rd minute, Youngster Hadji Drame registered the only goal to hand his side the famous victory.

Ibrahim Sadiq, Saliw Babawo, Ibrahim Sulley were introduced in the second half to replace Emmanuel Kumah, Enoch Atta Agyei and Sabit Abdulai respectively.

Ghana failed to level the score as the match ended in a 1-0 lead in favor of Mali.
