EXCLUSIVE: Mali midfield gem Mamadou Kouyate joins Elmina Sharks

The Ghana Premier League side have strengthen their squad with the midfield dynamo ahead of the GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition.

Malian international Mamadou Kouyate has completed his move to Elmina Sharks after a fruitful negotiations.
The 27-year-old has joined the Sharks lads on a free transfer after ending his stay with Egyptian side El Raja Marsa Matruh.
His agent, Mr. Jessy Jantuah who is also the representative of Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba and Ashgold duo Salia Outtara and Richard Djodi confirmed the switch of his client to the Elmina-based club.
"It's true that he [Mamadou Kouyate] has joined Elmina Sharks ahead of the NC Special Committee," his agent Mr. Jantuah told Kickgh.com
"He is a very good midfielder who can also operate as player. Ghanaians should watch out for another talented midfielder... Oh yes, clubs will contact Elmina Sharks for his services after the competition.
At El Raja, he bagged two goals with ten assists in his 28 appearances in all competition.
Kouyate previously played for one of the most glamorous clubs in Mali, Djoliba AC before leaving to ply his trade in Egypt.
Elmina Sharks will travel to face Inter Allies in the match-day one of the GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition on Sunday.
