MATCH REPORT: WAFA 2-1 Karela United - Karela taste first defeat, Academy boys extend unbeaten run

West African Football Academy extended their unbeaten run to four games after whipping Karela United in the match-day four of the GFA Normalization Committee Special Cup on Wednesday afternoon.

The Academy boys inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Karela United at the Sogakope RedBull Arena.
The Sogakope-based club grabbed the lead through Augustine Boakye on the 15th minute of the game with a fine strike.
WAFA distributed brilliant passes to frustrate the midfield of Karela United as they launched fearsome attacks.
With much pressure on the visitors, the home side piled pressure on the Anyianse-based club to double the lead before recess.
Youngster Daniel Owusu ended the first department in a 2-0 lead in favour of the Academy boys with his superb strike on the 38th minute.
Back from the break, Karela United piled pressure on the homesters to register a consolation goal.
Striker Solomon Sarfo Taylor pulled one back for the Red and Green lads on the 68th minute of the game.
The match ended in a 2-1 win in favour of West African Football Academy.
