2019 AFCON MATCH REPORT: Cameroon 0-0 Ghana - Black Stars struggles continue

The Black Stars failed to end their winless streak in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after sharing spoils with Cameroon on Saturday evening.

Ghana were held to a 0-0 draw by five-time champions of the tournament, Cameroon in their second Group F fixture at the Ismailia Stadium
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon looked very dangerous in the first half but failed to register the opener before the break.
On the 9th minute, Ghana had the first chance but Kasim Nuhu fired it wide from Jonathan Mensah's flick-on.
Christian Atsu came close from scoring but his effort went wide as he got himself injured on the 11th minute of the game.
FK Cukaricki winger Samuel Owusu was introduced to replace Christian Atsu who sustained a foot injury.
Cameroon piled pressure on the Black Stars as Gaetan Bong and Karl Toko Ekambi tried their luck few minutes after the half-hour mark but they were denied by the defense of Ghana.
Goalkeeper Richard Ofori was the hero of the first department as he made a magnificent save to deny Christian Bassogog from netting the opener for Cameroon.
The first half of the match ended  in a scoreless draw.
Coach Seedorf's charges continued to dominate the match after recess as they continued to mount pressure on Ghana.
On the 60th minute, Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui prevented a thunderbolt shot from Samuel Owusu.
Christian Bassogog had a volley sweetly from the edge of the box and Jonathan Mensah stands tall and blocked it with his chest. 
Striker Asamoah Gyan and Kwabena Owusu replaced Kwadwo Asamoah and Andre Ayew respectively.
Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting combined with Christian Bassogog and the latter gets a shot off which is well saved by Richard Ofori - who pushed it onto the post on the 81st minute.
Substitute Kwabena Owusu picked up possession in the middle of the pitch, powered forward and pulls the trigger from the edge of the area only for it to cannon back off the crossbar.
Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik denied Asamoah Gyan from stealing the game with a late strike as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
