FRESH REPORT: Kwesi Appiah to stay as Ghana coach until 2021

The 59-year-old is set to ink a new deal with the West African country, according to reports in the local media.

Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah is on the verge of extending his contract with the Ghana Football Association until 2021.
The former Ghana international will be signing a new two-year deal before the expiration of his current contract in December.
According to the reports, President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has directed the Normalization Committee of the Ghana FA to hand a fresh contract to the experienced trainer.
He was appointed the head coach of the senior national team of Ghana in 2017 after being sacked by the Ghana FA after 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil.
Coach Appiah guided the Black Stars of Ghana to the knockout stages of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Egypt.
