MATCH REPORT: Ghana share spoils with Algeria at home in AFCON U23 qualifier

The Black Meteors of Ghana shared spoils with Algeria in the first leg tie of the 2019 CAF U23 Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday evening.

Ghana were held to a one-all draw in the first leg encounter by the Algerian U23 team at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The North African country opened the score on the half-hour mark to frustrate Coach Ibrahim Tanko's side.
On the 30th minute, Adem Zorgane fired the lead for the Algerians as Yaw Yeboah wasted a spot-kick awarded to Ghana after four minutes.
Ghana levelled the score from a penalty kick on the 65th minute which was neatly converted by Dauda Mohammed.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko's side will travel to Algiers for the return leg tie on September 10.
The winner of the tie will qualify to this year's edition of the CAF U23 Cup of Nations which will be staged between 5-22 November 2019 in Egypt
