GFA President Kurt Okraku bids Black Meteors farewell in Egypt

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okarku has sent his goodwill message to the National U23 team, Black Meteors and has urged them to grab a spot for Ghana in the next Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo 2020.

The newly elected GFA President was at the Kotoka International Airport to see off the team as they emplaned to Egypt to take on seven other countries in their quest for a place in the next Olympic Games in Japan.
The President who doubles as the Executive Director of Dreams FC charged the coach Ibrahim Tanko and his team to end the sixteen year jinx in Egypt.
"It's been sixteen years since we qualified to the Olympics and you have about three or four games away from a ticket to the Olympics," the GFA President said.
"We believe you can do it so believe in yourselves and do it for Ghana," Kurt added.
Ghana are in Group A with Cameroon, Egypt and Mali and will have their opener against Cameroon on November 8, 2019 at the Cairo International Stadium.
