Report: George Afriyie to be named Kotoko CEO if....

After Asante Kotoko's painful defeat to San Pedro and their subsequent elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, there have been a lot of tension in the camp of the Porcupine Warriors.

According to a source close to Fox Fm, Kumasi, there is a lot of pressure on Dr. Kwame Kyei to dissolve the management team and relieved personnel like George Amoako,Nana Kwame Dankwa and Edmund Ackah off their duties.
The source told Fox FM that the former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association , Mr.  George Afriyie is in a pole position to assume office should the management be dissolved and the aforementioned personalities relieved off their duties.
The report if true, will come as no surprise to the football fraternity since Afriyie on several occasions and platforms declared his unflinching love and support for Asante Kotoko.
Afriyie, it will be recalled held similar positions at Gamba All Blacks and Liberty Professionals.
