MATCH REPORT: Kotoko 3-2 Ashanti Gold - Songne Yacouba bags BRACE as Kotoko beat Ashgold in five-goal thriller

Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued their unbeaten run in their mid-season break friendlies when Wahab Adams struck a 73rd-minute winner against Ashanti Gold to seal their home victory.
Goals from Saddick Adams and Eric Donkor were not enough as a brace from Songne Yacouba and Wahab Adams' late header propelled the Kumasi-based club to a 3-2 win over Ashanti Gold SC.
The Porcupine Warriors lads recorded a 3-2 home victory over Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC in the first league tie of the Golden Clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Miners lads started the match on a good note as Eric Donkor and Saddick Adams tried their luck on several occasions.
Defender Eric Donkor nearly broke the deadlock but his powerful drive on the 20th minute went wide. 
Ashanti Gold continued dominating the game with brilliant passes as Appiah McCarthy, Joseph Gordon and Amos Addai dazzle the Kotoko defenders.

Coach Paa Kwesi Cabin's charges gained possession in the last fifteen minutes of the match as they restored the parity before recess.
Burkina Faso international Songne Yacouba levelled the score for Kotoko with a stunning free-kick on the stroke of halftime.
Back from the break, Ashanti Gold continued piling pressure on the home side as they restored the lead after five minutes.
Eric Donkor registered his name on the score sheet with a cool finish on the 50th minute of the game.

Burly center-back Wahab Adams snatched the match-winner for the Porcupine Warriors on the 75th minute of the match.
In-form Songne Yacouba could have netted a hat-trick but his late strike was saved by the woodwork.
The return league of the Golden Clash between Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold SC will be played at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium next week.
