CK Akonnor has done well - George Amoako

Asante Kotoko CEO, George Amoako, has applauded under-fire coach for his side for sterling performance he has done in his short stint with the club.

The Ghanaian giants suffered  a 2-1 defeat to Zambian side Zesco United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium over the weekend in the last group matches of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup competition. 
 
Despite Kotoko's failure to advance to the quarterfinals, the astute football administrator has rather extort the gaffer for the club for his splendid performance with five months with the Kotoko.
 
"He has done well for bringing the team to this far. Just look at how he picked the boys and the team from"said George Amoako on Happy Fm. 
 
"We were playing against a well matured sides  at this stage of the competition. We have learned a lot and C.K has done well with the team" he concluded. 
 
The former Wolfsburg captain guided the Porcupine Warriors to a group stage in his rookie season with the club and the first time since 2005 in the club's history.
 
Akonnor joined the Reds following the resignation of former U-17 coach, Paa Kwasi Fabin in October last year. He has three-year contract with the Ghanaian giants.
