NC Special Cup Report: Karela United 3-1 Inter Allies - 'Merciless' Karela trounce Allies at home

Karela United returned to winning ways with a victory over Inter Allies in the match-day five of the GFA Normalization Committee Special Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Inter Allies were under an intensified pressure in the first department of the match as they conceded three goals.
 
Coach Johnson Smith's side made the early minutes looked very scary for the visitors as Darlington Gyan Fosu got the lead on the 12th minute.
 
Young goalkeeper Abdul Saeed denied the Karela United from bagging more goals with his brilliant saves.
 
Desmond Abuga could have levelled the score for the 'Eleven is to one' lads but his audacious strike was cooled by goalkeeper Kofi Mensah.
 
Defender Isaac Kwain beautifully doubled the lead for the Green and Red lads on the 38th minute of the match.
 
On the stroke of halftime, Patrick Yeboah made it 3-0 for Karela United with a fine finish to end the first half.
 
After the break, Inter Allies introduced Dan Amanfo and Patrick Armah to beef up their upfront.
 
Defender Abdullah Warris grabbed the consolation goal for Inter Allies with a fine header on the 50th minute of the game.
 
Nigeria international Effiong Nsungusi Jnr kept tormenting the defense of Karela United but failed to register his name on the score sheet.
 
Inter Allies were impressive in the last ten minutes of the game but they failed to score as the match ended in a 3-1 home win for Karela United.
