NC Special Cup Report: Medeama SC 1-0 Ashanti Gold - Medeama maintain top spot

Medeama SC continued their unbeaten home run in the ongoing Normalization Committee Special Competition.

The Yellow and Mauves lads managed to record a 1-0 home victory over Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC at the T&A Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The Miners lads looked very dangerous in the first ten minutes as Richard Djodi, James Akaminko and Jordan Gordon dazzle the back line of the home side.
Striker Tahiru Awudu tried his luck for Medeama with a thunderbolt shot on the 12th minute which went wide as a header from Kwame Boateng also went wide.
Goalkeeper Frank Boateng denied Kwame Boateng from scoring with a stunning long-range on the 25th minute of the game.
The first department of the match looked balance as it ended in a scoreless draw.
After the break, Medeama SC continued to mount pressure on the visitors which resulted them the lead through Agyenim Boateng.
Striker Agyenim Boateng snatched the opener with a sumptuous finish on the 65th minute of the game.
Ashanti Gold failed to find the back of the net despite the chances created in the second department of the match.
Medeama SC have maintained their first position with sixteen points following today's victory over Ashanti Gold SC.
