Kotoko 'had a bad day' - C.K Akonnor

Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has expressed his dissatisfaction of their 1-1 stalemate with Bechem United in the Match-day 10 of the Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee Special Competition.

The Porcupine Warriors were down in the 3rd minute when Prince Adu Kwabena scored the opener for the 'Hunters' but their lead lasted for just eight minutes when in-form attacker Abdul Fatawu Safiu equalised with a sensational free-kick to increased his tally to seven goals in the competition.
The former Ashanti Gold head coach, C.K Akonnor, believes Kotoko could have won the match but his charges had a bad day in the office after squandering all the clear-cut opportunities.
C.K Akonnor, who was unhappy with the result, added that his side lacked the intensity Bechem United had in the early minute of the game.
"I'm not happy with the result. We could have won the match even though Bechem United took us by surprise in the early minute of the game," C.K Akonnor said after the match.
"I think they (Bechem United) were very compact in the early minute of the game. They pressed us very well. We struggled to come out of it. But we were able to create chances but today (yesterday) wasn't good for us. We had a bad game. Kotoko have come to a level that we've to win every match and the fact that we drew today its a set back. But we'll continue to work hard to improve," he ended.
Kotoko are lying second in Zone A of the NC Special Competition with 15 points.
