BREAKING: Mali midfield gem Mamadou Kouyate arrives in Kumasi to sign for Kotoko

The Ghana Premier League heavyweights are set to announce the signing of the midfield enforcer, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Mali international Mamadou Kouyate is on the verge of completing his switch to Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.
 
Kickgh.com can exclusively report that the 27-year-old has arrived in Kumasi to undergo medical by Kotoko's medical team at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. 
 
Asante Kotoko wants to augment their squad for the CAF Champions League and have already signed Justice Blay, Ampem Dacosta, Kwame Baah, Kelvin Andoh and Emmanuel Osei Baffour.
 
The 27-year-old joined Elmina Sharks on a short deal after ending his stay with Egyptian side El Raja Marsa Matruh earlier this year.
 
He was part of Elmina Sharks' Normalization Committee Special Competition campaign.
 
At El Raja, he netted two goals with ten assists in his 28 appearances in all competition.
 
Kouyate previously played for one of the most glamorous clubs in Mali, Djoliba AC before leaving to ply his trade in Egypt.
