SAD NEWS: Kotoko midfielder Alexis Didi loses mum

Asante Kotoko midfielder Alexis Didi Arnold has been hit by a family tragedy following the passing of his mother, Dable léonine Angeline.

Dable léonine Angeline was unwell for a few days ago and she unfortunately gave up the ghost at a time that family and well wishers did not expect it.
Madam Dable léonine Angeline died at age 61.
Didi Arnold, who was a second half substitute in Kotoko's narrow 3-2 loss at Kano Pillars, had previously spoken about his closeness to his mum and her illness to Management.
Deputy Greater Accra Rep, Nana Kwame Dankwah who broke the sad news to Kotoko Express App, disclosed that, Management has since called Didi to console him over the loss.
The development has left Didi Alexis distraught, and though he is yet to travel back home, Kotoko have taken the lead as Coach Kjetil Zachariassen has visited the player's family to extend the club’s condolences. The coach sought permission to be in Cote d’Ivoire after the team arrived from Nigeria.
"It's a very difficult period for the young man," said Nana Kwame Dankwah. "[These are] trying times for him but we have called to wish him our condolences and also promised our support. We share in his pain and pray that God will give him the strength to pull through."
