LATEST: Kotoko to suspend Songne Yacouba

The Burkina Faso international is set to face an indefinite suspension from the Ghana Premier League giants, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Management of Asante Kotoko are set to announced the suspension of Songne Yacouba following his unsporting behaviour at the club.
 
The 28-year-old forward has failed to return to the camp of the Kumasi-based club since the commencement of their preseason exercise in July.
 
Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal that management of the Porcupine Warriors sent a letter to the player and his agent last week requesting for his return to club before Tuesday.
 
The former Stade Malian attacker is still in his native country, Burkina Faso refusing to return to the Ghana Premier League heavyweights despite the deadline day (Today) stated in the letter.
 
A close source to the Asante Kotoko talisman also told Kickgh.com that he will rejoin his teammates at the club after recovering from the injury he picked up months ago.
 
Yacouba has be unfit after the club's CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season where he helped them to reach the group stages of the competition.
 
Following his explosive output in the CAF Confederation Cup, he has attracted offers from Orlando Pirates, Zesco United, Al Hilal, Al Ahly among others.
 
Yacouba bagged two goals with five assists in their CAF Confederation Cup last season.
