Songne Yacouba finally arrive in Kumasi; set to meet Kotoko management

The Porcupine Warriors talisman has landed in Kumasi after his absence for the past eight weeks, has learnt.

Asante Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba arrived in the West Africa country on Wednesday after his departure to Burkina Faso in July.
The 29-year-old failed to return to the camp of the Kumasi-based club since the commencement of their preseason exercise in July.
He will be meeting the management of the Ghana Premier League heavyweights today.
It was believed that he was nursing an injury he sustained at the club after their CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season.
Earlier this week, reported that the management of Kotoko has sent a letter to the player and his agent last week requesting for his return to club else he faced an indefinite suspension.
He arrived in Kumasi on Wednesday evening and currently lodging at the Sports Hotel owned by Dr. Kwame Kyei.
His current contract with Asante Kotoko will expire in April 2020.
Yacouba bagged two goals with five assists in their CAF Confederation Cup last season.
