U-TURN: George Abege & three others to stay at Kotoko

The management of Asante Kotoko have rescinded their decision of sacking four of their senior players ahead of the new season.

Asante Kotoko have retained George Abege, Alexis Didi, Abass Mohammed and Martin Antwi for their 2019/20 Ghana Premier League campaign.
It earlier reported in the  local media that the departure of the abovementioned players will be announced before the commencement of the season next month.
It was reported that the four players were declared surplus to requirement by the club's technical team.
The management of the Kumasi-based club have also decided to farm out four of their young players to other Premiership clubs to aid their development.
Abass Mohammed and Martin Antwi joined the Porcupine Warriors in October last year on a free transfer.
Ugandan international George Abege and Alexis Didi from Ivory Coast were also signed by the Reds ahead of their 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup campaign
