GPL Team of the Week announced; Check those who made it

Five debutants namely Eric Ofori Antwi, Youssoufou Atte, Richard Kissi Boateng, Godfred Yeboah and Augustine Owusu have made their first appearance in the team of the week

GOALKEEPERS
 
GK: Eric Ofori Antwi (Medeama SC)
 
His brilliant saves helped Medeama SC to pick all the needed points in their match-day eleven against Inter Allies  
 
Ofori Antwi made four clear saves that, on any day, could beat any good goalkeeper to get his side all the maximum points. 
 
Despite conceding, he denied the attackers of Inter Allies such as Victorien Adebayor, Alex Aso and Samuel Armah in the second half.
 
DEFENDERS
 
RB: Youssoufou Atte (WAFA)
 
The Togolese young right-back was a delight to watch as his side held on Eleven Wonders to a 1-1 stalemate in Techiman.
 
The youngster was superb in the entire duration as the made some descent marauding runs on the flanks and did not get any foot wrong for West African Football Academy.
 
LB: Richard Kissi Boateng (Berekum Chelsea)
 
The experienced left-back aided the Biribes lads to clinch all the needed points in their match-day eleven clash with Great Olympics in Accra with his only goal.
 
His output on the flanks helped his side to avoid conceding a goal. Also, he was named the man of the match award for his sterling performance.
 
CB: Mubarak Yusif (Ashanti Gold)
 
The former Liberty Professionals centre-back continued his impressive in the back line for the Miners as they extend their clean sheet streak to five matches.
 
Mubarak displayed a real quality of a defender for Ashanti Gold against Dreams FC with his leadership qualities, passing and timely tackles. He's able to slot in at the defenses of the Miners and looks comfortable for the side.
 
CB: Godfred Yeboah (Karela United)
 
Yeboah is certainly an unknown centre-back in the ongoing Ghana Premier League. His efforts in the defense of Karela United prevented the upfront of Hearts of Oak from scoring in their blockbuster clash.
 
He was able to kept the attacking threats from Kofi Kordzi, Daniel Afriyie and Joseph Esso to nothing with a masterclass defense which earned him the most valuable player after the game.
 
MIDFIELDERS
 
CM: Elvis Opoku (Aduana Stars)
 
Opoku was the main man in the middle for Aduana Stars with his partner with Flavio Kouassi who frustrated Kotoko players in their slim home win.
 
He distributed brilliant passes to the attackers of his side but lacked clinical finishes to render Opoku's effort fruitful during the match.
 
CM: Ibrahim Salifu (Eleven Wonders)
 
The talented defensive midfielder is one of the underrated players in the ongoing Ghana Premier League but his sterling output has earned him three man of the match award so far.
 
He earned praises from the fans at the Nana Armeyaw Park following his movement and brilliant passes he distributed during the game. 
 
He bossed the midfield of Eleven Wonders to win the man of the match award.
 
AM: Ibrahim Osman (King Faisal)
 
The on-loan Asante Kotoko forward continued his splendid performance in the Ghana Premier League at King Faisal with another goal.
 
He was the chief tormentor for the 'Insha Allah' Boys against Legon Cities where he kept the back line of the visitors unrest.
 
He netted the equaliser for King Faisal to increase his goal tally to seven goals since his arrival at the club. Osman was adjudged the man of the match award.
 
RW: Daniel Afriyie (Hearts of Oak)
 
Since the arrival of the 18-year-old at Hearts of Oak, he has exhibited to be a difficult customer for teams.
 
His dexterity on the flanks and productivity gave his side attacking hopes whenever on attack against Karela United in the entire duration of the match.
 
He was denied by goalkeeper Isaac Hagan on several occasions.
 
FORWARDS
 
LW: Augustine Owusu (Elmina Sharks)
 
The dread-locked striker was the key performer for Elmina Sharks in their win over Ebusua Dwarfs in the regional derby.
 
His name was on the lips of all football enthusiasts who watched the 'Ogua' derby at the Nduom Stadium on Wednesday.
 
CF: Prince Opoku Agyemang (Medeama SC)
 
Opoku Agyemang continued his vintage performance in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League with another goal.
 
He's truly on rampage and he clearly gave out a vintage performance in their 2-1 away victory.
